The party of retreat and defeat is officially in office now. We are at a crossroad in the war on terror and the fate of western civilization hangs in the balance. America's best and brightest are on the front lines and need our help. Now more than ever. There are many ways to support the troops, locally and in the battle zones, do your part to support them in words and deeds. We use Books For Soldiers. You can also find many fine support organizations HERE This is a picture of the 60th care package that my family and I have sent so far, our small contribution. What makes this particular package unique is not its contents, it is the recipient. This is the first one we have sent to our own son.
I saw THIS on Drudge, read it and weep. If you don't like it..........Go the fuck home!
Part Deux
Mooselimb Cabbies same as above
Here is a handy set of terms which will help you understand the current political scene:
Obamad - To find oneself in a near-ecstatic state by the discovery of the perfect liberal icon.
Sheehanigans - The tendency of one to spout incoherent babble and socialistic platitudes as a mechanism for dealing with grief. (see also Codepinkeye)
Peloosened - The unwillingness to deliver on committments after promising them. Alternate definition: the creation of excess flappy skin caused by a rapid bulging of the eyes.
Chapaquitted - A state of near invunerablity. The ability to say or do incredibly stupid things without being called into account. Often associated with being born into royalty.
ALotted - A state of being committed to one’s personal power base to the deteriment of the entire team.
Tortalitarianism - Creating a just and better America with opportunities for all by suing corporations. A cause championed by Sen. John Edwards.
UPDATE: Thanks to the boss, here are some additions - which I thought of.
Sharptonion: The ability to see racial discrimination in everything, including a simple glass of water.
Murthanasia: Incorruptability and intellectual authority because of prior military service
Jeffersoned: When the FBI finds money in your freezer, ie, “Damn, da man come bustin’ up in my crib an I was all Jeffersoned an shit”.
McKinneyed: Getting out of almost anything by sayin’ “Don’t you know who I am?”, or knowing that I don’t have to follow the rules because I am an oppressed black woman.
I’m pretty good, if I may say so myself.
UPDATE II: More
Hanntagonize: The act of inviting a person into a three to five minute dialogue but berating that person non-stop instead.
Kossified: The petrified state of a liberal’s brain after 3 days of reading the Daily Kock.
Rangletarian: Anyone against the “Lynching” of a murderous POS dictator.
Reidtardation: Stomping on legislation that your own party put forward to reduce corruption.
UPDATE III: Even More
Krugmania: when one makes the false assumption that an expert in one field is an expert in all fields. Also, the belief that your side is always right, even when they disagree with you, in which case you ignore them. Also, the belief that the other side is always wrong, even when they agree with you, in which case you also ignore them.
Atriosity/atriosious/atriosities: A liberal or liberalism that is well-known, yet void of any substance.

Sitting in the hot tub drinking cocoa watching the snow come down......In Tucson Arizona?
Due to medical circumstance I have not posted much lately.......I am feeling better and with a few thousand more tests I should be hitting on all cylinders again. I have had a chance to do some reading though. January's reading list is as follows:
John Adams by David McCullough, a terrific book like everything he writes.
My Tank Is Fight! by Zack Parsons, a light read about WW2 wonder weapons.
The Few by Alex Kershaw, about American pilots flying for the RAF during the Battle of Britain.
Boyd by Robert Coram about Colonel John Boyd who changed the art of dogfighting and the USAF. One of the best books I have read in a long time.
Young Patriots by Charles Cerami about the genius of Hamilton and Madison.
Now I am going to read America Alone by Mark Steyn, I think he is one of the premier intellectuals in America today.
What have you been reading lately? I would like to know.
Here are some pics from Iraq taken from an Apache helicopter by my friend DG. He is in the Army and is the son of one of my good friends.
The greatest enemy is the time
How do the American soldiers see the situation in the Iraq? Our reporter went in the heart of the Sunni resistance, the province Anbar. A report from the front:
As President Bush unveiled his new vision to move forward on Iraq, the political debate in the United States has continuously degenerated into a simple, binary choice of withdrawal to prevent further American casualties, or surge more troops to attempt to restore order in Baghdad. After spending two months out of the last 12 in the land between the two rivers, one thing I've learned is nothing is simple about Iraq, and there are no easy solutions to the vast array of problems. But despite the constant media portrayal of Iraq as a hopelessly violent nation, Iraq is not a nation without hope.
The rest is HERE, take the time to read it.
Nascar driver Bobby Hamilton died at age 49 of neck cancer, the article is here
This is a picture taken in Phoenix 11/11/05 of Bobby and I after the race. I actually had an opportunity to talk to him about his future and the progress of his son as well. This was after he had won the truck championship in 2005. I found him warm and engaging. I am not sure that he knew he had cancer at the time but he seemed very hesitant to leave the suite and lingered far past his obligation. A fine man that is one of the last of the dying breed. Rest in peace Bobby
No meteors, no global warming, not even a mammal master race just a little thing called a pulminary embolism put this American Dinosaur in the hospital for three and a half days. Not dead yet though. I did not go into the light. Anyway posting might be slow for a while. Surf my favorite reads and I will be back soon.
Not Much.
Is it just me or is all this Gerald Ford nonsense a bit much. Half the federal stuff here is off for an official day of mourning. What a load of crap, most of the people do not even know who the hell Ford was. He was a stand in guy who did nothing on purpose. Nice guy but come on. Are we gonna have to do this again when Carter takes his dirt nap? The idea makes me wanna blow chunks.
Well, I won't be here for a while so I guess I will get this out of the way.
