Moving Deck Chairs

(Conservatives leaving the SS Republican Party)

Harriet Miers represents all that is wrong with the Republican party today. Not that the sweet little "Church Lady" is not a nice person. It is precisely because she is a nice person. This could quite possibly have been the last chance to build a conservative coalition in the SCOTUS and this is the best GWB can do? A bastion of qualified conservative candidates and he rustles up Miers?

I know, I know it is not proper to bash the President after all he is one of us. The pundits tell us on the right not to criticize Mr. Bush because he is our representative. Is he really? I used to think that he was just playing "Dumb as a fox" now I am not so sure. The Left realized long ago their only hope was to legislate from the bench and they were losing the base that kept them in power for so long. For several decades we waited and watched for the opportunity to right the wrongs of poor Republican choices for the Court.

Well the SS Republican Party is sailing full speed ahead into an ice field and the captain and crew have left the bridge. This is only the last in a series of monumental blunders that is defining the Bush administration into a March of Folly. Throwing billions at the poverty Pimps after Katrina. Julie Myers to head up ICE? What the hell is going on? Forty years to regain power and the RNC is a bunch of cowering emasculated pansies. Afraid of the Mooonbats when they are the epitome of lunacy and should be exposed for the frauds that they are. Who cares what Harry Reid and Ted Kennedy think? Dean is off the charts in his inane rantings and the anti-wars clowns a have joined forces with every anti-American organization in the country and they look silly and sad.

The one thing America needs right now is precisely the one thing we do not have.........Leadership. I am all for getting along and consensus building when necessary, now is not the time. For conservatives this is the winter of our discontent. So close to the brass ring and a chance at forever vanquishing the liberal left and all we are just poor lost souls swimming in a fishbowl.

Playing nice with the liberal left is like trying to appease Muslims.........They are patiently waiting for the chance to cut our heads off.

Scott and others disagree

Do a little research on William 'Boss' Tweed, and there you will find answers to why our president is the way he is. I fear for the future of America myself.

I'm not ready yet to abandon ship, but I must admit I'm not straying far from the railing.

I feel your pain man....for the first time in his tenure in office Bush has succeeded in pissing me off.

Well, it seems we actually agree on something once again! But for different reasons.

I like Roberts, but Miers has no experience on the bench. After being criticized for making "payback appointments" in regards to Brown in FEMA, it kinda looks like he's doing the same thing here.

She may indeed be qualified, but I'd feel better with someone who's actually been a judge.

She sure can polarize the conservatives and liberals alike.......I still think he could have done better, strict constructionalist or not.
