Old Horse
I picked up this 1918 Colt 1911 this morning. A Rock Island Arsenal Rebuild with the crappy Pakerized finish but great rollmarks and matching slide and receiver. High standard barrel. The arsenal rebuilds are generally less expensive than the WWI originals or the 1911a1's for that matter. A nice addition to my collection.

The Devil.......
they say, is in the details. Now that the ingredients of the health care sausage are becoming apparent the recipe ain't pretty. We are in deep Doodoo on this one. I own a small business and have kept it small by choice. After twenty one years I can honestly say last year was the hardest. I have hunkered down and adopted a cockroach mentality. I am going to stay out of sight and subsist on whatever it takes to survive.
I have not blogged much this last year, too much going on to keep myself ahead of the game. I am in much better shape financially than most, I owe more on my truck than my house and I am at the end of the line raising my kids. We have lived a modest life, live in a small affordable home and pay our bills on time. What do I get for my troubles? I am the target of taxation to pay for those who will not work, speculated and lost, live beyond their means, do not take care of themselves and those who depend on them.
I see the Democrats and their followers all giddy about passing the worst piece of legislation ever created in this country. You know the one, the one nobody read. We are all going to pay. Tough times ahead for us and hopefully unemployment for all the incumbents.
This is what happens when Generation Stupid thunders headlong into the Age of Entitlement. We are Fooked

Grandpa Comes Home
I sold this Colt 1911 made in 1913 to a friend of mine...........I bought it back. A Commercial/Government model that somebody had modified. A Robar trigger job, finish and dovetailed Yost sights. The 97 year old bad azz Mofo still can shoot and group like much yonger men. The pics suck but he is jet black. Four digit serial number. I am glad that Granda Pa came home.

Ruger Red Label
I picked up a Ruger Red Label 12ga on Sunday. An beautiful American made shotgun. Ruger knows how to make a fine Over/Under. Can't wait to shoot it.

The Crazies
Took the better half and we saw The Crazies today. Kinda the Dawn of the Dead meets 28 days later meets a SHTF scenario.
Some typical slasher stupidity but worth a look.
