The article in yesterday's "New York Times" (in which I was quoted) on the changes announced at the Homeland Security Department to improve border security enforcement shows that while many of our nation's leaders pay lip service to the critical issue of border security, without a cohesive plan that addresses all of the issues, nothing of significance will change. The Secretary of DHS, Michael Chertoff is still not calling for a real, all inclusive strategy that addresses all of the issues in an effective manner"
