In The Navy

As of 1:30 pm on 1-27-06 I have joined the ranks of Navy dads. My son Nathan has joined the Navy and will ship out this fall. I am so proud of the young man, he will be a great addition to America's armed forces. Congratulations son!

It's natural to be proud when our children make good choices. My oldest son left for bootcamp on his 19th birthday. That was a dozen years ago, and I still remember the conflicting emotions. It's a bittersweet thing when our kids grow up, but it helps a lot when they make it easy to be proud of them. Go Navy!

That is indeed something to be proud of! Please extend my thanks to your son, and know that I'll be praying that he stays safe.

I hope you're back for more blogging, I missed you!

Way to go!!! You must be proud of your boy. Let him know the american people are proud of him and I for one consider him a true hero.

We did a rally this past Saturday, read it about it on my blog http://saynototheleft.blogspot.com/2006/01/rally-report.html

Starting Feb 11th, it will be a regular thing, if you can join us, would love to have you.

Congrats to him! I'm honored by his decision to serve and protect us, and will pray for him.

Congrats...although my brother served four years in the Coast Guard, I'll take that picture in stride. LOL!

God bless your boy and bring him home safely.
I think it is when our children undertake such adventures, that we learn the true meaning of prayer.
God bless you too BullyBud.

Congratulations. The Coast Guard, although not exactly the same thing, would have been a good choice as well. As a constant fisherman (you never know when you will need their help) I have a great appreciation for them.

Congrats from a Navy brat, A Navy Capt., and a Navy Father. There is no other service that can do everything that this great country needs (when we include our sea soldiers {Marines} than the U.S. Navy. Wish him fair winds and following seas from the Seversons.
