Glass Houses

I find the ongoing crying and whining we hear from Mexico about the border fence and issues involving treatment of Illegal aliens in the US laughable . I have traveled to interior Mexico over twenty times and I can tell you that what is good for the goose is certainly not good for the gander. If I ever needed medical care down there, I can assure you I would not be allowed to leave the country until the bill was paid in full. Foodstamps, welfare, free medical care and all the trappings America offers these criminals is certainly not recipocal by any means. If we were treated the same down there I don't think the fence would be necessary.

Here are just a few examples of the hypocrisy:

The AFI is corrupt.

"In one measure of the problems, a report released recently by the PGR said 1,493 of the agency´s 7,000 officers had been investigated for possible wrongdoing and 457 had been indicted."

Practice What You Preach

"One of the saddest national failings on immigration issues," Soberanes told a news conference, "is the contradiction in demanding that the North (the United States) respect migrants' rights, which we are not capable of guaranteeing in the South," along Mexico's border with Guatemala."

It appears that 13 times is all it takes for Illegal Alien to finally commit murder.

Violent Smugglers mistreat their customers.

"There are less loads this time of year during the holidays, so there is a higher preponderance to commit violence to generate revenue either by charging higher prices or by ripping off someone else's load to hold them for ransom," said Roberto Medina special agent in charge of Arizona ICE.

Coming to a head

"We talk about cooperation with the Mexican government," the agent continued, "but most of them seem to be on the take. The [Bush] administration, the DHS, they are very hushed about this."
