No Bull Tuesday

Click the pics to enlarge a couple of Pit Bull meeting their demise. Getting the shit stomped out of you by a bull has an underlying moral of the story in it somewhere.

More Blogging later......

Thanks Jay

As you may know, I recently fell head over heels for an American Bulldog rescued from hurricane Katrina. Now that's an incredible breed! American Bullies are the original English Bulldog, brought back from the verge of extinction in the 40's(?), by two American GIs. The pits were crossed with terriers to make them more aggressive... More aggressive than an American Bulldog? Atleast the American Bulldogs are predictable. I love the original English mollosors (ie dogs of war), but the rest of the world really screwed with these breeds by crossing them with other dogs. The pug for instance... the Chinese took an incredible Olde English Mastiff (not Bull Mastiff), for it's gentle temprament, and bred it down and down and down, into an unhealthy miniature abomination of it's former self. Yeah, pugs are cute, but they serve no purpose, and are extremely unhealthy! I know my friend Mike would disagree, since he has two very sweet rescue pits, but pits serve no purpose, and most people are not capable of caring for them.

I'm such a hypocrite. I love the "new" English Bulldog.

Kimberley,

You are correct, the sad fact remains that most Pit Bulls cannot help themselves in their erratic and dangerous behavior. Many like to keep them for the "Pit Bull" reputation and have no idea how to handle or care for dogs of ominous lineage.
