French Quarter

Decatur Street
Bourbon Street
Jackson Square
I am brokenhearted at the loss of this beautiful slice of America. I cannot bear to post pictures of the destruction. I give you a few more of those I took this summer. What God has not destroyed looters and the scum of the earth are finishing the job. I have been in a state of despair all day. PLEASE HELP! Our citizens, your fellow countrymen desperately need any and all help you can muster. Under the staute of Andrew Jackson is his quote "THE UNION MUST AND SHALL BE PRESERVED"

Personally, I feel that this disaster has vindicated Bush in his long held stance against opening the nation's oil reserves. Had he let them go just because of the inconvience of high gas prices, I can only imagine how much worse it would be now. My only concern now is how long it will take for the refineries to meet the demand. But a few extra buck for a tank of gas is a small price to pay when you weigh it in perspective to what is going on down there.

I'd also like to say that during the crises that New Yorkers have seen in the past few years, our people have by and large behaved, and come together to help one another in need. Strangers came up to me in the days after 9/11, seeing me in emotional distress, to make sure I was okay. I'm sure there is a bit of that in New Orleans, but the prevailing actions we see are selfishness and unrule.

Makes me feel a lot better about the 2nd Amendment.
